This private tour takes you to Tipón, Pikillaqta and Andahuaylillas, three places that show different moments of Andean history: the Wari culture, the Inca Empire and the colonial period.
Tipón surprises visitors with its perfectly preserved water channels and fountains, still working after more than 500 years. Pikillaqta is a huge pre-Inca city, and the church of Andahuaylillas impresses with its golden altars and colorful murals.
On the way back you can stop in Saylla to try chicharrón, a famous local pork dish, or in Oropesa, the town of traditional Cusco bread. A perfect cultural and gastronomic half day.
